Dr. Kenneth W. Ayers is a Managing Director of Breitstone & Co. Ltd., a specialized consulting firm providing assistance to parties engaged in complex transactions involving construction and environmental risks. Breitstone & Co., Ltd. works with buyers and sellers of properties that are known or suspected to be contaminated, with developers employed to construct capital improvements on these properties and with contractors performing remediation services to provide insurance coverages that address environmental exposures. The firm also assists lenders making financing available for the purchase, cleanup and development of contaminated sites and lawyers representing the various parties to these transactions to develop solutions for complicated environmental problems associated with real estate and development transactions. Breitstone & Co. Ltd. has offices in New York, Nashville and San Francisco.

Dr. Ayers has had more than thirty years of experience in providing professional services related to the environmental and construction industries. He has been the president of a full-service environmental engineering firm; Chief Executive Officer of the Willis Environmental Practice; a senior manager with the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Superfund Program; Director of Kemper Environmental's Custom Environmental Solutions; and an environmental engineer with the U.S. Army, U.S. Public Health Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Dr. Ayers has had numerous articles published in scientific, academic and risk management journals and is a frequent speaker on topics of environmental technology, environmental risk, risk modeling and risk financing.

Ken received his Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Washington, Iowa, Nebraska and Tennessee. He also has been named a Diplomat of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
